Melissa made her preparations at the Mayflower Hotel just before a beautiful Catholic ceremony at Holy Rosary Church near Penn Quarter. After the ceremony we commenced our whirlwind tour of the monuments for photographs, with a permit safely tucked in Ru’s pocket Then we headed to the Ronald Reagan Building for their reception in the Rotunda – such a great room with the most interesting architecture! Melissa and Ru paid tribute to their parents with a tea ceremony and a Polish blessing before kicking the celebration into high gear.
