Egomedia is an award winning wedding photography studio which specializes in photojournalistic coverage of high-end weddings. We photograph events in the DC Metro area, Maryland, Virgina, and Pennsylvania as well as destination weddings.
On your wedding day we are on location to document the events unobtrusively. Apart from the brief time allocated for portraits, we do not interrupt the flow of your wedding. After your event, we spend hours in post-production perfecting every image that we will present to you.

Farral and Andrew both have very demanding schedules – we met with them one evening in our DC office and I immediately loved Farral’s vision of her wedding day. We talked about all the fabulous details she had in mind and were so flattered when Farral and Andrew decided we were the perfect photographers to document their wedding day! Farral went on to hire some of DC’s best vendors including Seana with Design Cuisine and Neil with Blue Sky Films.
Farral and her bridesmaids chose to get ready at the Jefferson Hotel. What a great hotel! I hadn’t been there before and I was very impressed by the stylish suite and the intimate feel of the hotel. It was a great place for us to photograph Farral getting her hair and makeup done and putting on her wedding dress.
Farral and Andrew were married at the lovely Foundry United Methodist Church just across the street from the Carnegie Institution. Not only was the church lovely, but the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We got some fabulous photos of the ceremony showing off the gorgeous stained glass and pretty architecture of the building. Afterwards we headed outside for some portraits of Farral and Andrew and their families.
Once we had finished with portraits, we headed to the cocktail hour – it was so convenient to just cross the street and be at the venue! We encountered Seana and her team from Design Cuisine passing picture perfect hors d’oeuvres while we headed into the dining room to get some fun detail photographs of the place settings, escort cards, menu cards, and of course the room itself.
Farral and Andrew made a grand entrance down the staircase into the cocktail hour and mingled before heading into the dining room for toasts, conversation, and of course fantastic food! Afterwards they took to the gorgeous dance floor for their first dance and parent dances.
While some of the guests stayed on the dance floor, the rest headed to the photobooth to get their photo taken! We provided the booth and Farral provided some really cute props and masks to spice up the images.
Outside, tea lights were lit and we had a chance to take a few night portraits of Farral and Andrew before their great sparkler exit. Afterwards, we headed downtown for a few photographs with the Capitol in the background. It was a truly chic DC event!
