At egomedia photography, we photograph weddings in the District of Columbia, Maryland (including the eastern shore), northern Virginia, and Pennsylvania. We also photograph destination weddings (especially in Mexico — Jen is fluent in Spanish). We pride ourselves on creating a body of work that is consistent from the first image to the last.

On your wedding day we are on location to document the events. We work with you to capture beautiful portraits of the two of you and your families, quickly and professionally. Apart from the brief time allocated for portraits, we do not interrupt the flow of your wedding. We prefer to remain unnoticed by your guests throughout the day. When the wedding day is over, we spend hours in post-production perfecting every image that we will present to you.

We have been named as a preferred vendor in Washingtonian Bride & Groom 2010-2012. In 2010 we were honored as “One to Watch” by Washingtonian Bride & Groom. Jennifer’s unique eye for personal moments in beautiful places defines the timeless look of egomedia photography. Her interest in image making was sparked during her immersive experience in Latin America while attending Wellesley College. Jennifer worked in international development at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC before starting the company and making her passion for personalized photojournalism her full-time focus. She can be relied on to consistently bowl a 165 game and enjoys trolling vintage stores in her spare time.

Sam’s expert post processing techniques consistently transform beautiful photographs into breathtaking final images. He is the technical artisan whose digital handiwork distinguishes egomedia photography imagery from the rest. Before starting the company with Jennifer, Sam studied animation and film at The Pratt Institute and spent 10 years working as a TV animator for several networks, including Comedy Central and Oxygen. Sam likes spending a beautiful day inside researching color calibration and time management software.
